MSR Guardian Gravity Purifier Product News

As we continue to spend more and more time in the outdoors, being able to trust the water that your drinking, cooking and cleaning with is more important than ever before. That's why this year MSR, known for their high-performance water filtration gear, is introducing the Guardian Gravity Purifier, a sibling to the Guardian Purifier pump. The gravity system is designed to deliver the same virus and bacteria protection in a high-capacity form perfect for groups and families.

The Guardian Gravity Purifier features a two-stage purification system; a .02 micron hollow fibre membrane that removes 99.999% of even the tiniest water-borne viruses and bacteria, and an activated carbon filter to reduce chemicals, tastes and odours. All this means that the Guardian Gravity not only delivers safe drinking water, but ensures the water that you cook and clean with can be trusted as well.

Field and lab tested in MSR's state-of-the-art lab in Seattle, USA, the purifier has been designed to deliver high-performance filtration use after use, and to withstand all that the outdoors can throw at it!

Complete with a robust 10L dirty water collection bag, the Guardian Gravity Purifier filters a litre of clean, virus-free water in 2 minutes. Simply hang the collection bag high up in your base camp, and leave the purifier to do all the hard work for you. And when you're finished purifying water, both the filter and collection bag can be rolled up neatly in the handy storage bag, leaving you space in your rucksack or car for other equipment must-haves.

For some, the thought of cleaning and maintaining their water filter can put them off drinking from the outdoors in the first place. No such worry with the Guardian Gravity Purifier, which is self-cleaning, and requires no backflushing throughout use. And with a filtering capacity of over 10,000L of water, you'll be hard-pressed to find a tougher, more reliable filter for the outdoors.
