Designed for families looking to holiday locally or head out on an adventure, the Habitude Tent is the ideal home away from home. With the Habitude, MSR extends it's renowned backpacking and alpinist tent line to cater for lovers of the outdoors seeking to share their experiences with their family.
The Habitude combines the strength and liveability of MSR's best-selling Hubba series, with family friendly features like a standing-height interior for added comfort when changing and and a giant doorway for easy access. Gear pockets and hang hooks for each occupant help keep all the gadgets and accessories tucked away.
While the Habitude Series is family-friendly, it is also kid-proof: Durable, oversized, smooth-glide stainless steel zippers stand up to abuse from children's hands, sand, and dirt. Zippers take the greatest brunt on tents, which is why MSR reinforced this component of the tent with burly zippers, designed specifically for MSR. Durable materials also ensure that the tent can be passed down through the generations.
Available in four- and six-person models, one person (with or without a small helper) can quickly and easily set up the freestanding tent with its hubbed poles and large, color-coded pole clips. Three 7000 series aluminum poles create super-sturdy pole geometry with strength and rigidity in high winds.
"The Habitude Tent Series is the ideal home base for raising pint-sized explorers," says Terry Beaux, Shelter Category Manager at MSR. "The modern outdoor family needs a tent with all the qualities of their favorite backpacking tent, all the comforts necessary to raise mini adventurers, and the durability to last as the tent is passed down through the generations."
The Habitude tent in 6-person (RRP £610) and 4-person (RRP £520) is available now.
See the UKHillwalking/UKClimbing review of the Habitude 6 here:
At only around 820g, and pitching using trekking poles, the single-skin Distance Tent is not much heavier than a bivvy bag or a small tarp, yet it offers a lot more weather protection than either. Toby Archer asks: what's the catch?
MSR Zoic 2 Tent
Toby Archer enjoys the living space on offer from this summer-oriented backpacking tent, but he's not sure it's the best choice for the UK's full-on wet weather.

MSR Habitude 6 Tent
A head-height family tent that's light enough to carry miles from the car, yet built to stand up to kids and at least a bit of weather... too good to be true? MSR have only gone and made the tent that Dan Bailey always wished someone would.
