Klymit Inertia X-Frame Sleeping Mat

© Beta Climbing Designs

The multiple award winning Inertia X Frame is the world's lightest (258g), most compact, and most advanced full length (1829mm) camping mat available. Designed with body mapping research, it gives you support and comfort in all the key pressure zones, while eliminating unnecessary material to reduce weight and pack size.

Klymit Inertia X-Frame Sleeping Mat #2

Ideal for 3 season use, the Inertia X Frame rolls up to the size of a coke can, and takes only a few breaths to inflate. However, it still offers the adjustable comfort through the use of a dry air pump, which allows you to reach higher pressures than ordinary mouth-inflate mats (use mouth or pump or both).

The cut out regions of the pad not only reduce the pad's bulk and weight, but is the basis for Klymit's patent pending loft pocket technology. Loft pockets allow the insulation on the bottom of sleeping bags to maintain loft and warmth beneath your body, where it would normally be compacted and useless, while promoting breathability, the mat is best used inside the sleeping bag for extra warmth and loft of the bag.

Built with ripstop 30d top and coated 75d bottom, the Inertia X Frame is also one of the toughest pads on the market with a burst pressure of over 10 psi.

Comes with stuff sack and bulb pump.

Very interesting product, but no mention of how it actually feels to sleep on, and how it deals with moving body position when lying down. I would also like to know how durable it is likely to be. My Thermarest prolite 3 short is utterly wonderful and very well built with tough fabrics and chunky seams, but still only weighs 370g. If this Klymit mat is as tough and comfy, then it'll be a winner!

Durability video here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoG__iKhJlM&feature=player_embedded and the manufacturers website at http://www.klymit.com/index.php/products/ineriaxframe.html An interesting and innovative line of products and materials especially the argon variable insulation vests at http://www.klymit.com/index.php/ It's hard to see how well the pads and vest work for winter or alpine bivving without trying them out but might be tempted if they were cheaper!!! Cheers Ron
