Hello,

Despite many attempts to free the ropes they are wedged on what I think is 'The Duel' wall abseil. Darkness and deteriorating weather led us to abandon them.

Am trying to make it back up to retrieve them, but if anybody manages to free them in the mean time, I would be happy to pay for the trouble of carrying them down and p&p.

Out of interest and for future reference, where exactly did you abseil from? Assuming down The Tempest wall from the pinnacle on the other side of the gully from where Scabbard tops out?

We used an in situ abseil, down Tempest Wall on the Scabbard chimney side.
