A very optimistic question... I am aware, but are any of the obvious snow collection points for snow in the Northern Cairngorms currently deep enough with snow for snowholing? I will be taking a friend winter climbing from the 12th and was hoping to show him snowholing and potentially stay in it. I know more unconsolidated snow is falling however are there any banks on the top with a few metres of depth around such as possibly Coire Domhain, about 500m South of Sneachda? If I'm in fantasy land then do say but it's so hard to know and I know certain snow patches can be remarkably resilient. Just thought I'd ask before bothering to bring a snow saw. Cheers, Tom
