Up there yesterday if that's any help. Lots of water ice on the paths below the snowline - a right pain. Not a large amount snow, but quite a few drifts hid the line of the paths and some windslab was forming. Exposed areas on the ridges were scoured and frozen. Oh, and a really cold wind.

Photos of the top of the Rhyd Ddu path on descent.

Looking at the radar over the last 18 hours, the mountains of North Wales have had an absolute pasting.  Particularly the Cardneddau, I would imagine some of it will be a wade!

Went up into Cwm Cneifion this morning... snow is powder!
Ice is up there... There were a few groups around doing some lines..
There was one group doing Left Hand Branch.

I did Hidden Gully (first time up that)... enjoyed it.. but its thin!
Yes.. there was some good ice but mostly frozen turf. The chockstones were rather interesting!

Ridges all looked good fun.. Came down Y Gribin.. luckily well trodden otherwise it would have been a wade fest.
And the amount of people going up with fashion shoes and a Primark jacket!!! I had Crampons on until back at Ogwen Cottage!

Can confirm that in odd parts, esp coming down, I was postholing to my knee (shin in lanky man size).
