Just a reminder that the Scottish Avalanche Information Service has released an app that gives an "intuitive set of guidelines to help the user with their decision making process, features such as: SAIS daily avalanche reports, mountain info blogs, notifications, and tools to help users to determine critical slope angles, the direction a slope faces in relation to published avalanche hazard and your location will be incorporated."
I think it is a really good walk though of the planning process for a winter day out, the process was the basis for the MCoS winter safety lectures this year, so would encourage use.
