We are two boys from London going climbing in the Ecrins from 8th - 14th January. We are flying into Turin and renting a car to drive down there (winter tyres, snow chains etc don’t worry).
We’ve only got 1 European ice climbing trip experience, a few Scottish winters and a bunch of 4,000m peaks each. So we aren’t the most experienced. We aren’t looking to take less experienced climbers up with us (we are inexperienced enough already) but more looking to share the cost of the trip/accommodation with another party.
The trip is already looking quite affordable, but we really don’t have a lot of money. This is a rough estimate of prices so far:
- return flight with BA £60 (Ryanair/Easy £20-30)
- accommodation £250-400 (if there’s 4 of us, we can book something slightly nicer)
- car rental £180 + gas.
It may be easier if you rented you own car, that’s something we can discuss. We both work at Vertical Chill in London, so if you are in London pop in and have a chat or a climb with us. If not, send me a message on here!
