Hi.  Heading to the Ecrins in Feb and plan to do some ice routes. Am having difficulty sourcing a guidebook for Ceillac/Fournel/Freissineres. Etc

I gather the above (ISBN 2-914466-01-3) is the one to have, despite not being in English

Does anyone have a copy they would like to sell, or lend?

Cheers!

Yes, that's the one to have. I have the 2005 edition  and I don't think there has been a more recent one.  Unfortunately I want to hang on to mine for a possible trip!
Where will you be staying?  You should be able to buy it out there in Argentiere la Besse or Briancon.

Some good topos for Ceillac here https://www.ceillac.com/cascades.htm

Its a great place, have fun.

If i cant obtain one before i go this will be my remaining option.  Staying near serre chevalier. To combine with skiing.

cheers.

Hi Gary

I live near l'Argentiere, As was said above you can pick the guide up in Alpimat in Briançon, its on the commercial centre south of Briançon.

also so worth a look is http://conditions.ice-fall.com and if you are based Briançon way Cervieres is a good shout if its in nick.

I make free app guides to the area, via ferrata is done, ski touring is being finished now, Ice is an option but a not this year sorry.

let me know if I can help with other info

cheers Rob
