Has anyone got up to date info on conditions in Custs and Skew Gullys? I'm heading up to the Lakes on Wednesday and was hoping to have a play. Conditions looked ok at the weekend.

Custs and Branch gully are well packed with good hard neve - I was up there yesterday. Didn't get a look at Skew ghyll though, sorry.

Descended down past end of Skew - looked short of snow and icefall at top looked thin. 

Another few hundred feet higher makes all the difference - nevé on Great End itself was concrete hard everywhere yesterday.

Descended Cust’s a few times yesterday. Banked our all the way still. Earlier in the day it was rock hard in places. Started to break down a fair bit by afternoon, but no real melt. Top was good and firm.

Most of the ice I walked in past was still there in the ghylls walking out so fingers crossed!
