Hi,

Looking for some advice on the best place to put a tent beneath the north face of the Ben. I've pitched above the CIC hut (not flat) and a little below it (quite exposed, snapped a tent pole). Is there anywhere suitable and sheltered in Coire na Ciste? The plan is to leave the tent up while on routes, probably descending Gully no 4 if it's a decent winter.

Cheers,

James

In reply to JStearn:

Areas around the Gulch are ok for camping, as is the area above this around the lochan - only worry is in case a REALLY big avalanche occurs as they sometimes reach that far down, although it would be unlikely you would be up there at that time.

Good luck.
