Hoping that some of the folks who helped me and my partner out on Saturday will read this.
Wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped keep my partner warm and moving along the zig-zag path on a very stormy evening. We had suspected an ankle injury but it turned out to be a fractured fibula. Nice clean break and looking like he'll make a full recovery in 6 weeks or so.
Very grateful that so many were willing to help out a couple of punters in the dark.
Lessons learned are that the day's not over until you're back in the car, and that glissading with crampons on is not smart. Also, a demonstration to me of the incredible service provided by the Lochaber MRT volunteers. I was completely blown away by their skill and commitment, and hope I never have to use up their resources again!
