Anybody able to give an update re climbing conditions in the Angus Glens? (Particularly Corrie Fee).

On Friday we put up Tequila Sunrise (IV,4) on South Craig in Glen Prosen, just the other side of Mayar and Driesh from Corrie Fee, and conditions were pretty good if you picked the right route. Plateaux scoured, corries full of snow on most aspects, a lot of ice forming down seeps and weeps. Coldish and clear and still; we even got sunshine. It was a beautiful day to be climbing, actually.

Since then it's not thawed seriously in the Angus glens AFAIK, and it has snowed a bit more. So it should be excellent today and tomorrow, like Friday only better, and it's looking like getting better still towards Wednesday.

Photo of Tequila Sunrise, and round-up of a few things we've done recently in Angus and elsewhere, here: http://www.scottishwinter.com/?p=6683

(BTW, if you happened to decide to go a little off-piste and go to South Craig instead of Corrie Fee, you'll find Spanish Dinner (V,6) in cracking condition at the moment. Tequila Sunrise is just left of it; Spanish Dinner is the obvious open gully/groove leading up to a headwall on the LHS of South Craig. It's an excellent route--I was looking at it wistfully from Tequila Sunrise--and an obvious one when you see the crag--it's the most obvious line on the left when you look at South Craig. FWA described here (I was Tim in them days): http://graniteandice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/spanish-dinner-v6.html )
