I got my winter gear out yesterday and spent some time sharpening my crampons and axes in anticipation of a Scottish winter trip.

As per usual this has caused winter to end prematurely and be replaced by mild / warm conditions.

Happens every time, I never learn.

Sorry.

Sigh, I took mine for a drive yesterday, didn't even make it out the car, decided high temps and torrential rain wouldn't make a good day so turned tail and headed home

Perhaps I just chose the wrong location on this instance though

Chin up, plenty of stuff still left, just need to seek it out

Maybe at sea level but it’s not going anywhere on the hills.

You want to be careful no one calls the rspca out on you, shouldn't really be leaving them in the car like that. Axes need a good walk a few times a winter at the very least.

You've actually done everyone a favour - we need a bit of consolidation up here!
