In the face of an awful loss, Nick Gardner resolved to defy age and grief, and do something positive in the hills he loves. Attempting all the Munros, and raising a lot of money for charity along the way, is a huge challenge for a man in his 80s, but it is a project that has given him purpose and a new lease of life, he says.
