I covered the HRP in stages finishing in 2010. Have since done most of the GR20 and a 600km of the GR5 (lake Geneva to the Med). Without doubt the HRP was the best walk I have ever done, and have returned to do some sections again. Some of the alternative sections are challenging and great (Crete de Sept Hommes instead of Canigou for instance in the Georges Veron book). Unfortunately probably too old to do it again, but I keep on visiting the Pyrenees in general.
