The popular campsites opposite Chaulet Plage in the Ardeche in France were amongst the areas heavily effected by the severe storms there on Wednesday. The river level, which is normally at ankle height in the summer months allowing you to wade from your tent to the crag, rose several metres and flooded across into many of the various campsites and lower-lying roads and villages.
