Not wishing to be pedantic, but Nepal is 5:45 ahead of GMT.
Met Kenton a few times last month in the Khumbu.
Good luck to Kenton and Clive on their summit bid tonight!

Just read some of the reports, I'm amazed to see there's 70-80 people on the south col at the moment waiting for a summit push. This sounds bizarre, is there usually that many up there awaiting a weather window like this?

Arrogant guides on the Bosses ridge is one thing, but a queue up there could turn out bad. Hopefully everyone will get down OK tomorrow.

Steve.

I think with so many climbers on the North Side as well, they are going to put a second ladder on the 2nd Step.

Hopefully by 2006 they will have an escalator installed, especially if this bl*ody leg of mine never heals.

In reply to Wyddfa:

There were more going for it in one night last year when a decent weather window didn't come until very late on. At least this early one should spread things out a bit.

Unfortunately that's all I've been doing for 12 months!.
Tell Mr G that I'm sure I can still outpace him even if I have to hop!
