Hi,

I have had a set of new(ish) berghaus explorer boots (the boots are about 9 months old) and i have used them moderately in the peak district and Yorkshire dales. I have noticed that after aboit 9 months and no more than 300 miles a few lugs have been ripped off the sole of them. They're currently sent off to berghaus to get repaired. 

I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem with the new explorers or are my set defective?

That sort of damage isn't just isolated to Berghaus, it's just normal wear and tear really, especially for 300 miles. Just get them resoled if the uppers are still good.

Yeah ive sent them off for a resole. Thing is i have a set of scarpa boots from 20 years ago what haven't been resoled and have easily 5x the amount of the wear and they are in good condition.
