Hi all

Hope you have had a good break.

I am headed to Sardinia in April for some sport climbing and sport multi pitch, and staying in the Baunei area on the east coast.

I have seen mixed reviews of the guidebooks. Does anyone have any recommendations or recent experiences with guide books?

Many thanks

I used climbing sardina.com, up to date and even has gpx files to navigate to the crag.

I've owned two versions, sport and trad.  Both had the same faults, ridiculously small text and verbose writing.  A decent editor could have killed two birds with one stone.

I ended up selling my trad version as most of the routes were too hard for me (6c and upwards).  I just kept scanned copies of the crags i might visit.

There’s a reasonably new one specifically for the Baunei area

I haven't used it though

Yeah the guidebook is awful, but it’s really all there is for the island other than the smaller Ulassai only book (which is great).

It’s frustrating that none of the usual guidebook publishers have taken it upon themselves to address this, I’m sure it would be universally welcomed.
