Hi All,

Looking at purchasing a new hardshell on the tougher end of the spectrum, mostly with winter climbing in mind. 

I like the look of the Berghaus Extrem guide however wondered what other people are using?

Setting a budget might be a place to start. Many are now in the 500 quid range but they don't have to cost that much.

I've not used the guide as it's just come out, but I have a pair of the previous generation Berghaus extrem bib trousers and they've been really good. I've probably done 3-4 seasons of reasonably heavy use in them and I'm only just starting to think about replacing the. Previous pairs from other brands have lasted a season or two with similar use.
