Hi

I’ve managed to misplace the poles for my trisar, during one of a couple of recent moves.  I see you can get replacement poles, but does anyone happen to know which ones I’ll need?

thanks in advance

Update from wild country, 😒 My tent had two longer blue poles and a single red across the door.  This apparently makes it pre 2013, which means I can no longer get spares from wild country.  I don’t suppose anyone has a pole set they don’t need?

Good luck. That's poor customer service.

You could try making ones the right size yourself, or get a specialist to do it for you (e.g., https://www.scottishmountaingear.com/repair-service/pole-repairs ). You just need to find someone with the same tent to measure theirs

Or someone with a right trisar who would be kind enough to measure their poles.  Ooh er missues

I've got one from 1992... perhaps too old to compare poles?

I have no idea.  I think mine is from somewhere between 2007 and 2011 at a guess.

Interestingly, I may in fact have such a pole. I have a Trisar 2D and a pole broke so I ordered a new one from WC. The one the sent was about an inch too short, and we established it was for a one-door Trisar, so they despatched the correct one to me and I have the one originally sent.

You're welcome to that one if you want it - it's likely to be post-2013 but probably worth a try.

We collected up the remains of a storm damaged tent (and some of its contents) from near the summit of Scafell Pike back in March. I carried down the poles, they say Wild Country on them and I think are blue and red. One of them is broken so needs replacing or at least part replacing, but I don't think the majority are damaged. They've been sat on my garage floor since, with me wondering if they would be any use for some future "project" but I haven't come up with anything yet. You are welcome to them for the cost of postage, or if you climb in the Peak, we could probably arrange to meet up somewhere as I'm out most weekends. That way you might only need to get one after market pole to replace the broken bit.

Brilliant, I’ll arrange later on, as I’m in a meeting at the moment

Will give another recommendation for Scottish Mountain Gear, they’ve redone poles for an old, pre 1990 Quasar and a Macpac Hemispheres groundsheet and sent back here to Malaysia

If I have time this evening I will get them out and check them over more thoroughly to give you an accurate idea of how many poles there are, how long the are, condition etc.

Lancs Sports repairs made me an entire set of new poles for my Wild Country tent after the original poles started cracking around the ferrules. The price was quite reasonable, around £100 I think, and those poles are much longer than those on a Trisar.
