Are these a bargain or not- I’ve been offered a set of orange Fusions for £50 or so. Brand new, unused, apparently they were to be used on a climbing trip that never happened.

Should I take the offer or leave them, given the fact that where I currently live (Malaysia) ice axes aren’t readily available in the shops?

Thanks

The orig Fusions are actually a stellar tool for continental style mixed or drytooling. Not the best for pure ice.

sure there are better tools available now, but they are still solid tools.

might be telling a lot that Ines Papert used to use them for hard mixed or drytooling even After they were no longer offered. She only switched to the new BD Reactor when it came out. And now she climbs on Cassin X-Dreams, of which the new Reactor was a carbon copy off.

And yannik glathard uses the handle from the fusion fitted to a nomic shaft as his comp tool as he loves the handle  so yes have them, better still   don't have them and I will
