I used to get my Olympus kit repaired at Luton Cameras, but since Oly split off their camera division they will not supply a full set of parts to 3rd party repairers, which means you are forced to use their repair facility in Portugal, and pay their prices. It's actually ok sending the stuff off, other than the Brexshit customs delays, and the price I was quoted wasn't TOO bad, but it seems a bit rich engineering a monopoly like this.
Is this practice widespread? If not, it must be a factor in deciding what system you invest in.
