It may not be what you're after but the chevron type grip on shoes like inov8s doesn't hold on to mud anywhere near as much as approach shoes tend to. It's also a really tough rubber compound (with carbon or graphite or something in) so doesn't wear down (or leave skid marks everywhere). They won't scramble as well obviously but perfectly adequate for standard cragging (and half the weight, if you need to carry them up).
