Normally I use my phone (in a waterproof case) and/or a Suunto watch. However, I'm looking for something more robust and reliable to use for work, in some rough-and-tumble environments (salt water, getting into and out of boats etc.)
Requirements:
- Waterproof
- Good battery life/rechargeable battery
- Ideally compatible with qct/qed (memorymap/opensource) files
- Has some decent opensource maps available; I'll be using it in Antarctica as well as in the UK.
- Screen with a decent level of brightness available; it'll be used on bright sunny days as well as poor ones.
Any and all suggestions welcome.
