Further to my Ventile cotton ponderings which you can view with delight elsewhere, I'm now wondering about Rab Proflex and specifically the Kintetic Alpine jacket. I read it's quite a slim fit? Has anybody got experience with the jackets, maybe a view on the materials longevity, what it's like in use etc? I'd look to use it Summer and Winter, summer on it's own over layers as an emergency downpour jacket, and in winter over ventile cotton as a water proof outer layer, with warmth and further waterproofness provided by the ventile. Stupid idea?

I have the original Kinetic jacket which came out before the alpine version and its the best darn jacket I have in terms of breathability its second to none, however it is not as waterproof as a gore jacket, but it is great to wear and works really well for climbing / running / biking / town

I have both in old versions and feel the kinetic plus had slight slimmer fit than the alpine, can't say for current versions
