Hi All!

I turn to the communities for some wisdom.

Please can you point me in the direction of some easily accessible areas (possibly with top access?) to set up some ropes for abseiling. Fixed anchor would be preferable but I don't imagine there is many, so more than happy to set up slings/strops/rope protectors.

I realise this might be a bit much to ask but I believe this is one of the best places to find out....

Many thanks in advance

Not on The Lizard but just up the road. Trewavas has lots of easy routes and has access from above. A slight scramble to the base of the crag but nothing too serious and plenty of routes in the easier duff-severe range.

Might be a bit far out of your way (almost an hour I'd guess) but  Roche Rock would fit the bill in terms of access / top ropes / grades etc

I really would not bother going to Roche Rock from the Lizard, you could call in on the way to or from home but there are better venues. As others have said, Trewavas is probably your best bet.

As others have said Trewavas is a good choice.

However, for the inexperienced, the anchors are not obvious, so do take care.
