I need to travel to Bulgaria (Amber list) with my family to see my father in law who is not well.

I am clear on what is needed to enter Bulgaria and what is required for coming back to UK for my wife and I but am not 100% sure for my 2 children aged 9 and 11.

I've looked on the Government site and think the following applies:

  • My children do not need to have a PCR test in Bulgaria or when they return - is this correct?
  • They do not need to quarantine on their return - is this correct?

Anyone confirm?  Thanks

In reply to Tonker:

This page implies children under 4 years old are exempt from pcr testing. Not sure about quarantine, but would seem pretty ridiculous if kids are exempt from it.

In reply to Tonker: Not sure if you’re referring to the test to fly back or the day 2/8 testing, but you can all travel back on rapid tests, you don’t need a pcr to enter England.
