No pit zips? A few seem to be doing this now and for me that's no good. I rarely use them but when hammering up a hill in powder with the snow coming down I find they are essential to keep the sweat down. It's an option removed for what benefit?

It reduces weight, bulk, manufacturing expense and takes away a possible failure point if the zips break in some way. On the other hand they definitely help in dumping heat/sweat. I don't know but probably ME will have a similar jacket that does have them - that seems to be the way many brands are going because pit zips definitely have their fans and then other folk who don't want them at all.
