Loch Long whale "rescue"

Not really a rescue is it?....more a case of harassing wildlife cos we want to play at soldiers

Young jetskiers doing this to dolphins off the Welsh coast have been severely reprimanded by the authorities for similar actions.

and with the added benefit of getting them to return to their natural feeding grounds. Especially as one is believed to be underweight which might be caused by not having access to their normal food, etc.

I am glad to hear that if is the priority...my concern would be that a military exercise took precedence over their well-being

I'd have similar concerns, but it looks from the article that numerous conservation groups were involved, and the whales seen to have been in an unusual location in terms of food source etc. Not exactly the same as kids mowing down dolphins with jetskis.
