Hello,

I was wondering whether anybody had any suggestions for a breathable jacket, please?

I have been using a Rab vapour rise jacket. But whilst it is quite breathable, it is a bit too bulky/heavy.

I'll mainly be using it in the Welsh hills to keep the wind/light rain off when I'm out walking.

Grateful for any suggestions, please.

Cheers.

In reply to zarathustra:

I use a RAB alpha flux jacket and a RAB borealis jacket, I climb / hike in both, the borealis is very light weight and tough, wind proof and fends off short downpours well, but is not warm. So I wear it in warmer weather. The Alpha is really warm and packs down well copes well with wind but not so good with rain so I tend to use that when I know it won’t rain (it’s a great belay jacket on cooler summer evenings) and I use it as part of a layering system with a hard shell in the winter.

hope that helps
