Hi

Have noted the recent threads about new rockfall here - but whats the current best approach to Cornakey Cliff?. Did Wreckers in 2001 but had a steep scranble down just N of it then.

UKC Crag info says you cant park at the Farm you used to so assume info in the 2000 BMC guide and 2010 Rockfax I have are out of date. Any details of the best approach would be handy and save much faffing time.

Cheers

Steve

In reply to steveb2006: Hi Steve, was there 6 weeks ago. We parked at morwenstow and u walk through the churchyard, through a wood and then head left through a field once you exit the wood to reach the coast path. The walk/scramble down is straightforward and there are fixed ropes for the final section 10metres or so to gain the beach. We left ours bags above wreckers. Enjoy!

Make sure you do the approach through the church yard and not straight on to the sea, it saves a lot of dowhill and uphill walking. Go right out of the church yard, then follow a path behind some houses, on to the woods then turn left. The scramble down is fairly straightforward but overgrown. From recent threads give the base a wide birth and don't hang around under cliff left of Wreckers
