I'm just making my move outdoors after a few years indoor climbing/instructing and getting my CWI & A a couple years back, not sure how I'll get on yet so don't want to outlay too much money. I'm in Kent so can safely assume most of my climbing will be sandstone initially, with Bull's Hollow, Harrisons Rocks being my nearest.
I can get hold of 30-40 metres of new over-ordered SBJ for a very good price, I'd be interested to hear any reasons this would be a bad choice to take outdoors on sandstone? (My instinct is that as it is designed to be hardy in a climbing centre it will generally be a hardy rope, on the other hand the sheath may not be cut out for running over real rock). Fair to assume it will only get top rope use.
Thanks in advance for your advice
