In June 2019, ultra-runner Paul Tierney completed a record-breaking round of the 214 Lake District Wainwright peaks. He broke Steve Birkinshaw's 2014 record of 6 days, 13 hours and 1 minute by nearly 7 hours. Prior to that, the record was held by another fell running legend, Joss Naylor, who ran the Wainwrights in 7 days 1 hour and 25 minutes in 1987.Read more
