The Mountain hardwear ultralight down jacket looks great. Phd have been doing these quite a while, got one about 3 years back and it's stupidly light for the warmth it generates.

In reply to UKC/UKH Gear: please can you do an article on the top 10 most ridiculous things at the show aswell as just the serious stuff too... It’s the only thing I miss about not going this year!

In reply to beardy mike:

Do the furry pants and hazmat suit not count? I'm sure there were many more, but those were the ones we noticed

In reply to Dan Bailey - UKHillwalking.com:

What is the hazmat suit all about? I know 3M are big in the civil protection/PPE kind of world, but why show it at an Outdoor show? To beardy Mike's point on weirdness, your leg and headless torsos are pretty #~@*%$£ weird already! Please someone else tell me it's not just my worrying brain that thought there was something disturbingly pornographic about it!?

If we actually had any winter conditions I'd be well up for reviewing those smart looking Dolomite boots - I've really liked the B2 Dolomites I did in last winter's B2 review (although I do think they might be leaking which is surprising...) but winter remains scarce down here.

No. It's just you.

(weirdo)

In reply to TobyA:

Not just you; it was said at the show too. I just found it vaguely creepy

You missed the down bikini!

In reply to Crux/Lightwave:

Shame. It's what the outdoor world has been crying out for

Is that your latest revolutionary design?

I hope the guy in green is getting paid well.
He's looking a bit pale.

Capes and cloaks would do well...

In reply to Rebecca Ting - UKC and Rockfax:

Exactly. It would just be fun to have a top ten each show aswell as all the serious stuff. I can guarentee it would be the most read article of the lot. I want MORE Hazmat suits. My favourite is either the Primalot bikini I saw one year at ISPO, or the stand with a maniquin sat on the godbox reading a newspaper in full skiing kit.

In reply to Rebecca Ting - UKC and Rockfax:

I missed that. WTAF?

In reply to Dan Bailey - UKHillwalking.com:

Sorry - Nick made it sound like it was a totally normal thing to spot so I didn't send it to you. What are they thinking?!

Apart from the TX Guide* the thing that caught my eye was those cool UKC jackets. Why not sell UKC swag to raise funds for the upkeep of the website? You you could have "UKC Team" ones exclusively for people who work for the site, and plain old "UKC" ones for the rest of us.

*Yes I know, I know, I just bought a pair of TX2s... Well, I love them too... No, I *can* love two pairs of shoes. I love them both equally! Look, don't get jealous now...

I guess it was the down bikini by Sir Joseph? Shown already at ISPO 2019, but now I heard that they are going to actually produce them. Probably more as a promo, it's their 45th year of making down jackets and sleeping bags. It could be nice for sunbathing on alpine hut terraces though
