I have a pair of these. 

To me the handle seems strange - it seems very thin across its minor axis. 

I note the review of these tools on this site says the same thing.

Maybe this is a design intent to stop over-gripping, but it feels strange.

So, is this a good or a bad thing, and has anyone made the handles thicker, and if so, how.

Sell them at an inflated price to a tomb raider geek to keep with their kleenex and buy a new pair.

I had a pair of these and they were much better axes than my ability to climb winter routes (my max was about V/ VI with them) but was offered a ridiculous price by an avid tomb raider fan in the USA and so sold them for the same price I bought them for after 10 years of hard use!

There are definitely much better options now in 2019 than there were in 2006!

I've got a pair and had no idea they were sought after from Tomb Raider fans. I wonder if I could get enough to replace them?
