Could anyone recommend any good ridges or scrambles in Costa Blanca?

Bernia Ridge (4c) lots of lovely ridge scrambling with one short, well bolted 4c pitch in the middle. Plenty of info on the route online. Make sure you take time to have a look at the 'hole in the ridge' on your approach!

Toix ridge, short but a decent approach to it via a route called Cliber at 5+, did it on Friday, a decent few hours out.

cheers!

Second the recommendations for Toix and Bernia ridges. Bernia is a lower grade but is a bit more isolated and has a nice epic feel to it. Two abseils and and short section of climbing clinbing, about 4 from memory. Makes a fantastic day out.

A good one is Benicadell, a little bit inland Alicante but spectacular.

Castellets in Finestrat, but some places a little bit broken, spectacular view to Puig Campana.

Thought I’d already responded but maybe I didn’t press go!

As David suggests, Benicadell is well worth seeking out. I’ve done a lot of the ridges around CB and that really is a standout day.

There’s an information page on the Spain section of our website: www.mountain-journeys.co.uk - this outlines quite a few ridges and other adventurous days out in the region.

Have fun

Mark
