I need to seal the seams on the floor of an old Wild Country Trisar tent. I have a tube of McNett Silnet compound * that I use on my silnylon tarp. But the tent floor is nylon not silnylon.

Anyone care to recommend something I can use? Or will the silnet produce an adequate seal?

Similarly: I'd just like to proof the floor of my tent - is seeps a bit under pressure and I've taken to ptiching it on top of a water proof layer which is fine for car camping but imperfect otherwise.

I've no idea if the Silnet will do the trick, but I'm sure McNett 'Seam Grip' will.

McNett do a tent floor sealant. I’ve used sealing dope from a model shop to reproof the floor of a Robert Saunders inner years back and that worked, but it may not be right for current fabrics

Silnet will work fine

Squeegy on a coating of 3:1 white spirit:clear silicone sealant seems to be recommended on the outdoor DIY websites. If there's a peeling layer of existing proofing, that complicates matters...
