Augsburg Climbing Scene

My daughter is working as a Teaching Assistant in Augsburg for the next academic year, I'm sure she's quite capable of sorting herself out but I wondered if anyone knew anything about the local climbing scene, e.g. what the walls are like, whether they have clubs  or social venues etc just to give her a heads up.

+1 for DAV, I've been to a very professionally run DAV climbing wall near Baden-Baden.

The one in Augsburg looks amazing.

When I as working in the area, not too far from Augsburg, I found no problem with turning up at the local walls finding people happy to pair up (if they were climbing as a three) and getting to climb in the evenings.
