We have been to Kendal Film Fest many times over the past 20 years, missed last year but the one before just didnt cut it!

Too many people, no way you got to see the right films you wanted, found out that last year they made eveyone bid for a food stall and local people pushed out (not sure if true or not).

So thinking do we give it a go this year or what do people think about Shaff?

Kendal was great for us as we got to catch up with so many mates in one place at one time, is Shaff spread out around Sheffield so hard to have ONE meeting place?

In reply to Sam Mayfield:

I don't think it was KMF that forced out the local traders, I heard it was the main venue, the Brewery Arts Centre. Festival regulars should complain about this if they care (I did as Rins made the caffeine necessary for long film sessions way more pleasurable...     https://rinscoffee.com .... and the local farmers burger place was also very good).

Shaff is smaller but still great fun and a lot cheaper for accommodation and easier for a day trip and with many more places to eat.
