Any good spots for camping in the south west of the Peak District, near leek or buxton?

Yes, but you'll have to find them yourself.

Publicising wild camping spots on the internet will just lead to them being trashed. Sorry.

The whole place is so accessible that there's no real need to wild camp - can't think of anywhere more than a mile from a road.

Of course! I should reword, just a quiet lay-by or somewhere like that to pull up and camp for the night?

Go where you suggest, get off the main road. You'll find somewhere if you are discreet.

You want to camp by a layby? Hardly discrete. If you walk up on to the moors for an hour or so and don't pitch until late, and are prepared to get going earlyish, I'm sure you'll have a peaceful night.
