Summer 2019. Alpine Instability

See below a link to a story and a piece of video by a Slovenian guide yesterday. It's taken from the 'Italian Normal' route on the Tour Ronde. 

In fairness the article does state that this face is  normally unstable and should be avoided..however there have what seems to me an unusual number of rockfalls this year. Some (like those on the Matterhorn recently) with sad endings. 

I'll be honest I'm not a big alpinist but the high temperatures this year (I was in western Italian Alps last week) made me very uncomfortable.

There were worryingly frequent rockfalls from Cengalo while we were on the Badile a few days ago.

Obviously it has a recent history of a huge collapse but we were told at least as much again is on the move.
