Salewa Litetrek II tent

https://www.salewa.com/litetrek-ii-tent-00-0000005622

Do you think this tent is suitable for a one night high camp climbing Chopicalqui 5500 mts in Peru....or 2 nights in Huascaran? I know it is a trekking tent but it is semigeodesic, suitable for 80 km/hour winds... I have to take the tent to Perú to do the Huayhuash trek and later I want to use it climbing Chopicalqui, Pisco and Toclaraju 2 persons, 2 kg, double wall

In reply to Keen2go:

I have used a similar tent for the camps for Pisco and Tocllaraju with no problem. Adequate shelter is available at both sites. I have also used it for various base camps at c5000m in Nepal and India and in the winter in SW Tasmania.

For the second camp on the SW ridge of Chopicalqui at 5600m and the second and third camps at 5400m and 6000m on Huascaran, it would, IMO, be rather marginal. I suggest that you only use it if the weather is forecast to be stable for your climb.

Did Pisco and Chopicalqui with just a bivi bag, not that I'm recommending it. Your tent will be just fine.
