The article seems rather to be a critique of the BBC than Attenborough - who comes across as genuinely concerned in many statements and interviews. He knows best where the fine line is - and must balance his enthusiasm for the natural world and zeal to warn disaster - while accepting the compromise which allow him to maintain his stage presence.
