Sourcing long replacement poles for "family" tent

The main poles of my "family" tent -- a Coleman Spruce Falls -- broke in gusty weather over the summer and I want to replace them with something a bit better: lighter and less breaky than the evil fibreglass originals (and also to replace the dreadful pin & ring mount with a more secure grommet one).

Problem is that it seems this tent is pretty big for a crossover pole design: most 4+-person tents are hoop designs in which the poles are of similar length to those on a 2-person. And I can't find anywhere that sells 5.7m and 4.7m aluminium poles. Any suggestions? Would it be reasonable to buy three "ordinary" stock alu poles and cannibalise them into two huge poles, or is that going to have major problems?

Cheers,
Andy

In reply to andybuckley:

you can buy packs with as many sections as you like in any diameter of your choosing - obviously trim one section (plumbers pipe cutter a good idea) to give the correct overall length and thread with elastic
