My kids were enjoying their Kindle hour this morning when I walked in to find one of them watching an advert for what seemed to be a casino. "What on earth?" I say. Turns out the game they were playing (Crossy Road if you are interested) has a feature whereby the player is rewarded with in-game currency when they watch a advert. The opportunity to do this is promoted at the end of every game. Games of Crossy Road tend to last about ten seconds and the adverts last about a minute! I watched for a while and most of the adverts tend to be for other games, so I am not sure where this one came from but still...
No particular point to make but thought it might be of interest to others with smaller children.
On a related topic I've often thought UKC might benefit from a parents sub-forum where those of us with sprogs can have our tedious sprog-related discussions without cluttering up the boards for those who live a life sans-sprogs. Like my post if you agree!
