Seems to me this isn't getting the credit it deserves so thought I'd post.

Victoria Wilkinson of Bingley Harriers set a new women's record of 1:43:01 for the Ben Nevis race last Saturday. The previous record had stood since 1984, the same year the current men's record was set.

Dave - agree - the old record was held by Kenny Stuart's other half if I recall correctly

Doesn't surprise me though - from memory when I ran Pendle last year Victoria smashed the record and nearly won overall !

If you feel that isn't getting the credit it deserves then you can start a thread too.

Good on you for posting - you're quite right, amazing running!

Hopefully I'll be running in the race next year, but if not I think I might go up on to the hill to spectate - it'll be interesting to see if Finlay can do it again.  His winning margin this year would suggest he's got a good chance!

I spectated last year and rather enjoyed it. Thought I might be envious of the runners but that wasn't the case!

Yes, up and down from the football pitches at Claggan.
