Romsdal weather + daylight mid august

I was thinking of going to Romsdal for scrambling in mid august, what is the weather usually like then? I think it gets bad in September so will I be a bit too close for comfort? Also, how dark will it get? I've been in June and July and never taken a head-torch even when climbing at 1 am, would I need a torch in august?

Who knows what the weather will be like on the west coast Norway. Rain can be quite variable - a bit like the west coast of England in August. This was Åndalsnes last year:
