Mid july, I'm spending a couple of nights in San Sebastian, then we've 7 days to spend making our way over to Empuriabrava on the east coast and would like to take in some family hill walking/via ferratta style activities.

I've two active kids 12 & 14, they are happy to walk munros (4-6hrs) and climb very easy ground/scrambles; I'm therefore looking to visit somewhere scenic and take in some of these activities but don't really want to visit the very touristy places, especially as we won't be walking up 3000m peaks.

Also, as we have a van any campsite recommendations would be appreciated, cheers

In reply to Rick Asher: Hi, I highly recommend staying in Torla, the gateway to the Ordesa National Park. There is a great campsite there (http://www.campingordesa.es/index.php/en/)with fantastic views and the park itself has an excellent range of walking, climbing, rafting and via ferrata.
